Course Overview

Participants will learn how to understand and identify risks and the concept of converting risks into tests. There will be a running case study and exercises to apply the concepts learned. Risk Based Testing course introduces risk management for testers and how risks can be used as the major driving force within testing. Risk Based Testing shows how risks can be used to define test objectives. How those same risks can define scale and type of testing to be performed. As the tests progress the course will show how the current risk status can be reported at all stages of the test process , which can then used to inform the decision making process as the risk of releasing as the project end date approaches. Risk Based Testing also shows how discussions surrounding the balance between Project Risk (completing testing on time) and Product Risk (defects in the live system) can be enlightened by Risk Based Testing. Risk Based Testing focuses on identifying, prioritising risks and developing the right test strategy to help testers provide the input that management needs to make informed product release decisions.
